Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search. When you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our host records routine server-log data, including an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand readership. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this data to operate the site, resolve problems, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell a visitor list or create profiles of individual visitors.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to county and Texas record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside provider's own privacy policy controls information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose data only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described here. Because the site has no accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent information to us, and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 541, generally provides access, correction, deletion, opt-out, appeal, and related rights for personal data handled by covered businesses. Its scope and exemptions must be considered. Because we retain very little, a request usually involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing information we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. That law does not automatically delete a public record held by a Texas city, county, or state custodian; request correction or removal from the office that holds the record.
Updates to This Policy
We will post policy changes here. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
